Sarah Gross Partner
Sarah brings nearly 20 years of entertainment law experience, with a foundation in scripted and unscripted film and television, spanning both live action and animation, and complemented by specialized knowledge in digital-first production, gaming integrations, social media marketing, digital advertising, privacy compliance, and emerging technologies including AI.
She has held senior legal roles across private practice and in-house, most recently serving as Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs at WildBrain. There, she oversaw global digital media operations, including YouTube networks, gaming, brand marketing, licensing, direct-to-consumer sales, digital advertising, and technology, while leading initiatives in privacy compliance, CARU Safe Harbor certification, and emerging AI applications.
Prior to WildBrain, Sarah was a partner at Duncan Morin LLP, advising producers, broadcasters, and creators on all aspects of production, financing, distribution, and merchandising. She structured and guided domestic and international productions and co-productions, working closely with Canadian and American guilds and navigating regulatory, funding, and insurance requirements.
Sarah began her entertainment law career as a trusted legal advisor within the News, Factual Entertainment, and Documentaries division at CBC Television, and previously practiced corporate/commercial and securities law at McMillan LLP.
Her approach is collaborative, solutions-oriented, and adaptable, helping clients navigate traditional as well as evolving areas of the entertainment industry.
